Designed and engineered by Wacaco, Prestina combines immersion brewing and gentle pressure-assisted extraction to produce rich, full-bodied coffee with remarkable ease.
 
At the heart of Prestina is a patented cup-driven pressing system. Simply add coffee, pour hot water, stir, wait briefly, and press. During immersion, an integrated duck valve helps retain water inside the brewing chamber, promoting flavour development before extraction begins. As pressure is applied, the valve opens progressively, allowing the coffee to flow into the cup below. No plunger, no complicated technique - just a straightforward brewing ritual that consistently delivers satisfying results.
 
Prestina features a permanent stainless steel filter, eliminating the need for paper filters while allowing the coffee's natural oils and flavours to pass through. The result is a rich, smooth cup with satisfying body and texture. Wide openings and a minimal number of components make filling, cleaning, and reassembly quick and convenient, encouraging everyday use.
 
For optimal results, we recommend using medium-ground coffee. Prestina accommodates a wide range of recipes and brewing styles, from concentrated cups to larger servings when paired with compatible mugs such as the ceramic-lined Octaroma Lungo.
